BRSO Akademie x Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance
Classical music meets contemporary dance
Classical music meets contemporary dance – a stage project full of energy and expression.
Classical music moves – and how! In October 2024, the WERK7 theatre in Munich's Werksviertel district became the stage for an extraordinary project: young dancers from the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance met musicians from the BRSO Academy – live, passionate, full of energy.
The musicians developed the programme independently and rounded it off with Thomas Reif, concertmaster of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. The creative dialogue then began with the dancers from the 2nd and 3rd years of the Iwanson. Together with the choreographers Pia Fossdal, Johannes Härtl and Minka-Marie Heiss, a rousing performance was created: powerful, experimental, touching.
