In the piano duo category of the 70th ARD International Music Competition on September 8, 2021, the jury awarded four prizes: First prize for the French Geister Duo, second prizes for the Canadian ensemble La Fiammata and the Melnikova-Morozova Duo from Russia. Both the third prize and the audience award was given to the Duo Sakamoto from Japan.
