Csaba Wagner

Trombone

Csaba Wagner was born in 1980 in Szentendre. He completed his studies at the Franz Liszt University in 2004 in the trombone class of Prof Ferenc Steiner and Prof András Fejér. To widen his experiences he took part of numerous masterclasses (a. o. with Charles Vernon, Ben van Dijk, Stefan Schulz). During and after his studies he was winner of different national and international competitions.

In 2002 he won his first job at the Budapest State Opera where he worked four years. Between 2006 and 2015 he lived in Berlin where he was member of the Staatskapelle Berlin, followed by three years in Leipzig with the Gewandhausorchester and from 2017 to 2020 in Budapest with the Budapest Festival Orchestra.

Since 2020 he has been playing with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

As Guest musician he is regularly invited to the most relevant orchestras and ensembles a. o. Boston Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Teatro alla Scala, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Hamburg State Opera, Bavarian State Opera, Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, German Brass, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, Bayreuther Festspiele.

As a soloist and mentor he gives concerts and master classes in Europe, in the USA and in South-America.
