BR-Klangkörper General Terms and Conditions of Business
1. General information
Returning tickets
Once purchased, entrance tickets may not be exchanged or returned. No replacement of lost entrance tickets is offered.
Entrance tickets may only be returned and their purchase price refunded in the case of cancellation and/or relocation of the event in question. This does not apply in the case of cancellation of the event due to force majeure, particularly including industrial action, weather-related cancellations (flooding, storm), lawful lockouts and disease outbreaks including epidemics and pandemics. In cases of cancellation without replacement, tickets can be returned to the vendor where they were purchased. In the case of rescheduling of the event, purchased tickets are valid for the new date. If the purchaser is unable to attend on the rescheduled date, the ticket may be returned to the vendor where it was purchased. No travel costs will be refunded.
No refunds of fees or charges already paid will be made. If the ticket purchaser withdraws from the event contract, the ticket provider will offset any claim for reimbursement of the fees paid to it against its claim for compensation to the amount of the fees.
Ticket prices can only be refunded upon production of the original ticket. No refunds can be made for lost tickets.
Changes to programme or artist line-up
The BR-Klangkörper (the designation for Bayerischer Rundfunk’s orchestral, choir and concert activities) reserve the right to make changes for artistic or technical reasons to artist line-ups, programmes or seating. Such changes do not entitle ticketholders to cancel their subscription or ticket. No exchanges for a different concert or refunds for non-attended concert events can be made.
Entrance ticket as public transport ticket
Every ticket purchased for concerts held by BR-Klangkörper (subscription or individual tickets) includes free travel to and from the event with the Munich public transport authority MVV. (NB. This does not apply to replacement tickets issued at the evening box office.) The ticket constitutes proof of entitlement to travel. In the case of print@home tickets, the ordering party must be present. See the MVV conditions of travel at for further details.
Concert introductions
All entrance tickets entitle the holder to attend concert introductions (where available).
Entrance
Latecomers will only be admitted to the concert hall in the interval. No latecomers will be admitted where the concert programme comprises a single work.
Concertgoers with limited mobility
We regret that tiered seats in the Herkulessaal are not accessible to concertgoers with limited mobility due to the architecture and the relevant rules imposed by the Residence administration.
Standing places
Standing places are only available for the Herkulessaal at a price of €10 (for sold-out concerts only).
Audio and video recordings
Concerts of the Bayerischer Rundfunk are regularly broadcast on television and radio and on the Internet (livestreamed/on demand) or recorded live for CD or DVD productions. Because of this, minor impairments for concertgoers may occur due to blocked seats or the presence of cameras, microphones or additional lighting. By attending the event, you agree that recordings and images of you may be broadcast, disseminated, particularly in the media (including television, Internet and printed material) and also made publicly accessible on demand and independently of the type of receiving device without any claim to remuneration on your part. This includes any paid uses of the production, of any type and in any form and any media.
Concertgoers are not permitted to make audio or video recordings during concerts. Mobile phones and watches with sound alerts must be set to flight mode or switched off before the concert.
Child protection
Children under the age of 6 may not attend concerts even if accompanied by their parents. This rule does not apply to dedicated events for children. Children aged between 6 and 14 may only attend a concert when accompanied by their parents, a guardian (generally a person aged over 18 accompanying the child on behalf of the parents), teachers or educators. Young people aged 14 and over may attend concerts alone.
Other age limits may apply in justified individual cases.

U30-Ticket for EUR 10 (limited numbers)
The EUR 10 concert ticket for concertgoers aged under 30 is a joint offer by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and Choir, the Munich Radio Symphony Orchestra and BR musica viva.
It is available from BRticket online, in person or by telephone. The offer does not apply to benefit concerts, Klassik am Odeonsplatz or concerts by external promoters.
Bayerische Ehrenamtskarte (Bavarian Voluntary Service Card)
Holders of the Bayerische Ehrenamtskarte (Bavarian Voluntary Service Card) receive 10% reduction on entrance tickets for concerts by the Bavarian Radio Choir and the Munich Radio Symphony Orchestra. This does not apply to concerts of external promoters.
Concertgoers with disabilities
Individuals with disabilities (GdB (degree of disability) 50 or over) receive a 50% reduction on tickets for BR-Klangkörper concerts.
Resale of entrance tickets
Resale of entrance tickets is only permitted if the net ticket price asked does not exceed the entrance price asked by the promoter (the face value of the ticket). Infringement of this provision will incur a fine of up to €500 per ticket. In such cases, the promoter reserves the right to take further legal action.
3. Concert subscriptions
Ordering a concert subscription
Concert subscriptions can be ordered directly using the order card in the seasonal programme brochure and sent to the subscriptions office by regular post, fax or email. Concert subscriptions can also be ordered online at brso.de.
The following information is required when ordering a concert subscription: Name, address, desired number of subscriptions, subscription series, price category. New orders for the following season are accepted throughout the year. If the desired subscription is already at full capacity, you will be placed on the waiting list.
Abo-Card (concert subscription card)
You receive a personal credit-card sized customer card (“Abo-Card”) for each subscription. The card entitles you to a 10% discount on individual tickets for BR-Klangkörper concerts (including advance ticket fees, processing charges and MVV public transport travel). This discount does not apply to standing places, dress rehearsals, chamber orchestra concerts, benefit concerts or concerts of external promoters (including Klassik am Odeonsplatz). For technical reasons the Abo-Card can only be used at the evening box office for the Isarphilharmonie, Herkulessaal and Prinzregententheater. You may use your Abo-Card to purchase an unlimited number of discounted tickets.
Termination / extension
Concert subscriptions automatically extend for one season unless notice is given in writing up to a maximum of four weeks after publication of the new season’s programme at the latest.
Payment / Mailing of tickets
Payment is effected by direct debit or bank transfer upon receipt of invoice. Failure to observe the payment date shown on the order confirmation will result in cancellation of the subscription. Subscription entrance tickets will be sent up to one week prior to the first concert at the latest.
Advance orders for individual tickets
Subscribers have advance purchase rights for individual tickets up to one month before the commencement of regular advance sales commence for the event in question. Orders may be placed at the subscriptions office, in writing or by email.
These advance orders are non-binding and are processed shortly before the commencement of regular advance sales in the order they were received. You will receive an order confirmation or rejection before the commencement of regular advance sales.
Changing a subscription series or seat
Requests to change a designated seat may only be made prior to the start of the season (depending on availability). Please notify us of your change request up to four weeks after publication of the new season’s programme at the latest.
Changing concert attendance
Subscribers to series A, B, C, D and S that are unable to attend a concert at short notice may exchange their entrance ticket for a different event within the same programme (Thur., Fri., Sat.) and the same price category (depending on availability, twice per season in series A and once per season in series B, C, D and S).The subscription entrance ticket must be presented in the subscriptions office up to five days before the concert at the latest. Notification of the change request must be made by telephone in advance.
Correspondence and change of address
Changes of address (post, email) must be notified in writing, giving the customer number and subscription series, to ensure relevant information about concerts and events (e.g. changes in artist line-up) and about subscriptions and ticket sales can be communicated.
Transferability
Subscribers can transfer their seat for individual concerts to third parties. If they are unable to hand over the entrance ticket in person, a replacement ticket is issued in the name of the subscription holder and may be collected at the evening box office upon presentation of the customer or subscription number. This replacement ticket does not entitle the holder to travel by MVV public transport. Advance registration is not necessary.
