BRSO hip

What is behind “BRSO hip”? Not only the abbreviation for “historically informed performance”, but above all the initiative of chief conductor Sir Simon Rattle, to expand the BRSO programme to include baroque music. The second hip matinee this season, including Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”, will be conducted by Andrea Marcon at the invitation of Sir Simon.
