BRSO Academy
For 25 years, the BRSO Academy has been a springboard for young musicians from all over the world. It can proudly look back on more than 200 graduates from over 30 countries who have received engagements with renowned orchestras worldwide.
The conductor: Sasha Scolnik-Brower
Since the 2024/25 season, the “Bernard Haitink Conducting Fellowship”, under the mentorship of chief conductor Sir Simon Rattle, has offered young, highly talented conductors a two-year scholarship at the BRSO. Its first winner: the 30-year-old American Sasha Scolnik-Brower, who will conduct this concert.
