Alice Marie Weber
Alice Marie Weber was accepted at the age of twelve as a violin student at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich in the class of Markus Wolf. When she began her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich in 2008, she switched to the viola and studied with Prof. Hariolf Schlichtig. She then completed her studies after studying two years abroad at the New England Conservatory in Boston, USA, with Kim Kashkashian.
She attended numerous master classes and festivals, such as the Verbier Festival Academy, and the International Music Academy Switzerland under the direction of Seiji Ozawa. She also received valuable guidance from renowned artists such as Nobuko Imai, Lawrence Power, Wolfram Christ, Leonidas Kavakos, and Zakhar Bron.
In 2010, Alice Marie Weber received a scholarship from the Stiftung Villa Musica Rheinland- Pfalz for her commitment to chamber music. In the same year, she received a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.
She gained orchestral experience as a student at the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest Amsterdam, and as principal violist in the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.
Alice Marie Weber has been a member of the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks since 2015.
