Mariss Jansons – The Beethoven Symphonies (DVD-Box)

DVD: Mariss Jansons Beethoven Symphonien © Clasart Classic

Conductor Mariss Jansons fulfilled his heart’s desire and performed all of Beethoven’s symphonies together with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunkgs at Suntory Hall in Tokyo. Concerts that were received with great enthusiasm by the visitors.

Ludwig van Beethoven – a composer between genius and madness, tradition and modernity. It is not without reason that the native of Bonn is considered the consummate composer of Viennese Classicism and at the same time a pioneer of Romanticism. He created works whose influence in terms of formal structures on the music-historical development of several genres can hardly be surpassed. A large part of his œuvre is made up of his large orchestral compositions. He wrote nine symphonies within 24 years – the “First” at the age of 29, the “Ninth” and last he completed almost completely deaf in 1824.
